Item Name Description
Humpback Bridge
Humpback Bridge
Virginia’s oldest covered bridge, Humpback Bridge, located near Covington, VA, was built in 1857. The center of the floor and roof is about four feet higher than the ends, giving the bridge both its appearance and its name. It is the only bridge of its design in the United States.

This is the fifth design in the Journeys With Jimanie series.

Magnolia Bridge
Magnolia Bridge
As a native of Charleston, SC, I grew up surrounded by history. My father’s family (the Seabrooks) were a part of that history as our roots went deep with the arrival of Capt. Robert Seabrook to South Carolina’s shores in 1680. There is an old saying in the Lowcountry that one should never speak badly of the Seabrooks, because you’re either speaking to one or someone who’s married to one! Magnolia is a magnificent plantation with extensive gardens developed by the Drayton family and is the oldest public garden in America. My far-reaching family connections touch there, too, as a cousin served as the superintendent of the gardens for over 30 years. The Magnolia Garden peacocks would often winter over at my great-uncle’s on John’s Island - which may be why I have peacocks roaming my land today. It seems the old adage that one takes for granted what they grew up around is true and not until they move away or travel afar do they appreciate what they’ve always had. I hope you enjoy stitching this design and the serenity of the scene, which either reminds you of a visit to the gardens or prompts you to visit if you ever find yourself near Charleston. Hunter House
Hunter House
Pegasus Originals, Inc. Announcing Hunter House- #486 Our newest cross stitch design now in stores Designed by Stephanie Seabrook Hedgepath This is the third in the “Journeys with Jimanie” series. Located just 1 hour east of Atlanta on I-20, Madison, GA has long been a favorite stop for Jim and I when traveling to or fro on the interstate. It is known as the town Sherman refused to burn. Of the many Victorian houses that have been preserved, the most celebrated of them is the Hunter House. An 1883 Queen Anne-style home with a hipped roof with cross gables and a square tower, Hunter House is the most photographed house in Madison. Both the first and second story porches have beaded and shaped spindlework. As might be expected, Madison’s cache of period homes has made it an important stop on Georgia’s Antebellum Trail, a 100-mile tour that covers seven towns in the heart of the state from Athens to Macon. As you bring Hunter House to life with your stitching, I hope you dream of Southern belles and moss-draped trees!

Navarre Cottage
Navarre Cottage
Second in the “Journeys with Jimanie” series, Navarre Cottage was discovered on a side trip after a dog judging assignment in Ohio. This time I was accompanied by my dear friend, Audrey Hiers, and we were heading for prime antiquing country when we were enticed to stop and photograph this lovely cottage on the outskirts of Navarre, Ohio. While I was taking photos of it, the front door opened, and out came the owner. She explained that the daughter of the man who had built the cottage had called as she wanted to come by and see the place. She thought perhaps I was that daughter when she saw me taking photos of it. We had a pleasant chat and I discovered that they had just returned from a vacation, of all places, on Seabrook Island (outside of Charleston, SC) an island named after my family and on whose beaches I had spent many a day in my childhood. I hope you enjoy stitching this sweet cottage as much as I enjoyed designing it for you.

Stitch Count 146W X 102H

Jimanie is the kennel name Stephanie uses for her show kennel of Pembroke Welsh Corgis. It is a combination of her name and the name of her husband, Jim. Since this series is going to include many places photographed on trips they have made together or on trips Stephanie has made for dog judging assignments, it seemed natural to name it “Journeys with Jimanie”.

Happy stitching!

Mabry Mill
Mabry Mill
First in the “Journeys with Jimanie” series, Mabry Mill is one of the most photographed places in the United States. On our first trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway, Jim and I fell in love with this beautiful spot. We’ve photographed it in many different seasons, but nothing can compare to the Mill in Spring, when the rhododendrons are in bloom! The gristmill and sawmill have been restored by park naturalists in order that visitors might see live exhibits, a real mill and a working miller to demonstrate the milling process. The grounds of the mill include other interpretive media all designed to tell about mountain industry.

Mabry Mill has 59 colors and is 240 stitches wide and 158 high. This is the quality and detail you have come to expect from many years of animals and Marty Bell translations from Stephanie Hedgepath.
